ABBA and Elvis Presley both feature twice

The most popular karaoke songs for 2008 have been revealed.

Robbie Williams nabs the Number One spot with his 1997 single 'Angels', while Amy Winehouse's Mark Ronson-produced cover of The Zutons' song 'Valerie' is at Number Two.

According to the Performing Right Society ABBA and Elvis Presley both feature twice on the poll.

Guy Chambers, who co-wrote 'Angels' track with Robbie Williams, said of the song: "I think 'Angels' has endured because it is a pop anthem and functions as a prayer at the same time. In an increasingly secular world we still need songs that bring people together."

The track has now sold two million copies globally.

The Top Ten most popular karaoke songs for 2008 are:

1. 'Angels' - Robbie Williams
2. 'Valerie' - The Zutons/Amy Winehouse
3. 'Dancing Queen' - ABBA
4. 'Sweet Caroline' - Neil Diamond
5. 'Kingston Town' - UB40
6. 'The Wonder of You' - Elvis Presley
7. 'Black Velvet' - Alannah Myles
8. 'My Way' - Frank Sinatra
9. 'Suspicious Minds' - Elvis Presley
10. 'Waterloo' - ABBA
